Using Pins

Select a Pin to open its item, person, or current browse destination.

Pins are read-only on the content tabs. To reorder Pins or move their category
rows, use the Pins section on the Library tab.

Apple TV provides the Library Pins reorder mode. iPhone and iPad preserve that
shared order but do not have a separate Pins editor.

When several timestamp Pins point to the same item, the Pins row combines them
into one card. On Apple TV, selecting it lets you choose the saved moment. On
iPhone and iPad, the combined card displays the saved time and opens the
current media destination. Creating and choosing exact timestamp playback
remain Apple TV actions.

Adding and Syncing Pins

Pin an item from its detail page or by long-pressing or touching and holding a
content card. You can also Pin people. Apple TV additionally creates browse
Pins such as genres or studios and timestamp Pins during playback; those
synced Pins remain usable on iPhone and iPad.

Pins follow the signed-in server account. With
Backup & Restore enabled, they sync across devices;
timestamp images remain local to the Apple TV that captured them.

For the touch-specific behavior, see Pins on iPhone & iPad.
