Default order follows release date, so franchises play chronologically. Each movie's watch status is tracked individually.
If a collection has theme music, it plays when viewing the collection page, just like series pages. Control this in Settings > User Preferences > Sounds.
Collections can have their own backdrop image. If available, it displays as the full-screen background. Otherwise, Neptune uses the first item's backdrop.
