Themed Collections

Build your own permanent Discover shortcuts around ideas rather than genres. Each card represents a catalog keyword and opens a Movies/TV browse across Seerr, including titles that are not in your library yet.

Default Collections

Neptune begins with ten themes:

Adding a Collection

  1. Open the Themed Collections row on Discover.
  2. Select the trailing Add card.
  3. Enter at least two characters in Search Keywords.
  4. Select the plus beside a result.

The search uses TMDB's keyword catalog through Seerr, so specific ideas such as found footage, talking animals, courtroom, or space opera can become reusable browse cards.

Removing and Restoring

The collection manager lists Your Collections first. Select the checkmark beside a pinned keyword to remove it.

Once you change the list, Reset to Defaults becomes available. Resetting restores the ten starter themes and removes the custom keyword selection.

Browsing a Theme

Select a themed card to open a full grid with Movies and TV Shows tabs. Results load page by page as you browse. Select any title to play it when available or request it through Seerr.

Themed Collections vs. Smart Tags

Feature Catalog Best For
Themed Collections Seerr/TMDB, including media you do not own Discovering and requesting new content
Smart Tags Neptune's on-device semantic catalog matched to your library Exploring content you already have

The two can use similar words but answer different questions: “What could I add?” versus “What can I watch now?”
