Browsing Discover

Discover offers several paths into Seerr's wider movie and television catalog. Each path begins with a visual card and opens a full-screen grid that continues loading results as you move through it.

Browse Paths

Path Starting Point Media Choice
Genre Movie Genres or TV Genres Fixed by the row you selected
Era Browse by Era Movies or TV Shows
Studio Studios Movies
Network Networks TV Shows
Anime Anime Movies or TV Shows
Language World Stage Movies or TV Shows
Keyword Themed Collections Movies or TV Shows

Browse by Era

Choose a decade to explore titles released during that period. The page opens with separate Movies and TV Shows tabs and preserves the decade while you switch between them.

This is useful for broad exploration—1970s thrillers, 1990s television, or films from the 2020s—without needing a title or genre in mind.

Genres

Movie Genres and TV Genres are separate rows because each catalog has its own genre set. Selecting a card opens a grid already fixed to that media type—for example, Horror Movies or Drama Shows—so there is no redundant Movies/TV switch inside the page.

Studios and Networks

Studio cards open movie catalogs from companies such as Disney, Warner Bros., Universal, Paramount, Pixar, Marvel Studios, DreamWorks, A24, and others.

Network cards open television catalogs from services and broadcasters such as Netflix, HBO, Apple TV+, Disney+, Amazon, Hulu, BBC One, AMC, and the major US networks.

These are discovery groupings, not a statement about where a title is currently available to stream.

Anime

Anime opens a dedicated Movies/TV browse. Neptune checks both sides initially and chooses a useful starting tab when only one contains results. You can switch types at any time.

World Stage

World Stage browses by a title's original language rather than its country of production or current audio tracks. It includes more than twenty languages, including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Portuguese.

Selecting a language opens a Movies/TV grid scoped to that language. This is separate from the global Language Preferences filter.

Themed Collections

Themed Collections use catalog keywords instead of Neptune's on-device semantic tags. A theme such as Time Travel or Based on a True Story opens a Movies/TV browse across Seerr's catalog, including titles outside your library.

See Themed Collections to customize the row.

Infinite Browsing

Browse pages load an initial grid, then fetch the next page automatically when you reach the end. New items append without replacing what is already visible, and duplicates are removed between pages.

If the first page fails, an error state appears. A later pagination failure leaves the results you already loaded in place.

Selecting an Item

Every grid uses the same availability-aware detail routing as the main Discover rows:

See Requests for what happens after you select Request.
